About the Position: This position is with the U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC), GSL. This position is an Interdisciplinary DB-05 (GS-15) position and can be filled at any of the series below under Additional Information.
- Serves as the ERDC GSL Technical Director for Civil Works, Water Resources Infrastructure and works under the general supervision of the GSL Director.
- Reviews and executes project / program research and development and direct complex technical programs from planning and marketing through execution and transition to product delivery.
- Overseas quality and progress of the research; coordinating and integrating the research team both internally and externally and determining acceptance, rejection, or correction of the research products.
- Leads a highly technical and world class technical work force in new and demanding research areas.
- Develops and plans research that includes a broad program of highly interdisciplinary and complex theoretical and applied science and engineering programs.
- Establishes and maintains effective working relationships and communications with internal and external stakeholders.
- Reviews reports for technical quality and compliance with ERDC and laboratory policy.
